Job Summary:

The primary purpose of your job position is the planning,implementation, and evaluation of recreational, social, intellectual, emotionaland spiritual programs, in accordance with the resident’s assessment and careplan, and as may be directed by your supervisors. FLU VACCINE IS REQUIRED. FULL-TIME

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Observe resident attendance, mood,behavior, and degree of involvement so that facility activities and residentprogress are evaluated, by noting, reporting, and charting resident behavior.

• Refer resident/families to appropriatesocial service personnel when the facility does not provide the services orneeds of the resident.

• Coordinateactivities with other departments as necessary.

• Keep abreast of economicconditions/situations and recommend to the Activity Director 

• Ensurethat all activity are charted.

• Attendfield trips when necessary.

• Attend staff meetings to assist inidentifying and correcting problem areas, and/or the improvement of services.

• Attend and participate inin-service training programs prior to performing tasks that may result inexposure to blood, body fluids, infectious materials or hazardous chemicals.

• Reportall incidents/accidents immediately.

• Reportall unsafe/hazardous conditions/equipment immediately.

• Assistin preparing activity rooms/areas for scheduled activity programs.

• Assistin cleaning up activity areas after completing activity functions.

• Recommendto your supervisor the equipment and supply needs of the activity department.

• Operateactivity equipment in a safe manner.

EXPERIENCE:

Experience in LTC preferred, not required. On-the-jobtraining provided.
