You are responsible for providing mechanical engineering expertise to the sales process. You are instrumental in getting a sale across the finish line by handling more technical aspects of the process and creating/revising sales quotes and product submittals.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct market research by searching bid sites for jobs that companies/contractors are bidding, identify potential opportunities, and make a compelling case to pursue them.
• Obtain and review project specifications and equipment schedules, including prints, schedules, and specifications for Boilers, stack, controls, pumps, DA’s, feedwater tanks, surge tanks, water softeners, water treatment, blowdown, heat recovery, etc.
• Generate quotes and assist in determining products to offer by closely reviewing project specifications and equipment schedules, providing comments and exceptions to specifications as required.
• Create a detailed submittal package, according to specifications, to send to the client to obtain their sign-off once an order is received.
• Provide sales/training support for CB "on the road" training and factory-manufacturer training trips/educational sessions.
• Attend client site visits to provide technical expertise as needed, including engineers, contractors, and end-users, and attend local trade shows such as ASHRE, Brew masters, Pharma, etc.
• Serve as a project inside Engineering Lead, attending all meetings, answering project phone calls, resolving issues, and keeping manufacturers on point for lead times, backorders, schedules, etc.
• Distribute drawings and answer technical questions for the sales team and clients, serving as a secondary check on all submittals and managing resolution and corrections to submittals from the Manufacturer to the client.
• Provide aftermarket support by quoting conversions and service jobs, assisting Aftermarket with custom quotes in the CB system, and investigating parts, conversions, repairs, modifications, etc. Manage and maintain custom quotes in the CB system and serve as a CB Configurator Champion.
• Possess strong knowledge of commercial specification requirements for professional submittals and applications of products to multiple stakeholders, including Building Owners, Architects, Engineers, and Project Managers.
• Participate in continuing education on CB and Fulton by attending manufacturer monthly online training events for all vendors.

Qualifications:

• 5 years of mechanical engineering experience
• Mechanical Engineering Degree preferred
• Sales engineering experience
• Industrial background
• Strong attention-to-detail, trouble shooting, and problem solving are a must.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products required.
• CAD experience
