Job Description
POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 40 hours a week.
Summary/Objective Responsible for providing effective customer service for all internal and external customers by using in-depth knowledge of company products and programs as well as communicating effectively with team members within the customer service department. Maintain internal customer service programs.
Responsibilities and Duties
Essential Functions

· Effectively communicates timely and accurate information in response to incoming customer inquiries via phone, email and e-commerce platforms. This includes but is not limited to checking pricing, cross referencing parts, part availability, technical product assistance, shipping information as requested and customer troubleshooting to resolve issues.
· Processes customer orders on all platforms, as well as processing changes, returns, shipping issues, quality issues, damages and shortages according to established department policies and procedures.
· Rotate reviewing orders for other customer service representatives against customer PO.
· Offers professional assistance to customers over the phone, via e-mail, e-commerce and documents customer issues on internal customer satisfaction report.
· Creates letters of domestic certification, steel origin, performance standards, etc.
· Manages and tracks data internally, for customer "ship to," price sheets, new customer profiles and other various data tables.
· Confirm customer specific information is correct in the JSI label database using company specific software. (Syteline – Cloud Suite Industrial)
· Set up new customer accounts in Syteline – Cloud Suite Industrial via customer information form (provided by sales) –to ensure the correct customer profile is completed
· Interaction with night shift in shipping to provide direction on orders.
· Works with management to help implement a comprehensive E-Commerce strategy for new and existing accounts as well as implementing on-line promotions.

Qualifications and Skills
Required Education and Experience
· High school diploma or GED
· Relative experience to customer service experience and digital marketing
· Computer experience / MS Office
Preferred Education and Experience
· Customer service experience with independent sales force.
· Knowledge of strut fittings, accessories and mechanical hangers are a plus.
· One year of previous customer service experience or relative experience.
· EDI experience a plus.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
