Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and products to customers in a timely and efficient manner. This is a vital role in our organization as you will be the face of our company, ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to designated locations
- Load and unload products from the vehicle using equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries
- Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues
- Provide excellent customer service by being professional, courteous, and helpful at all times
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery logs, mileage, and fuel usage
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, reporting any issues or repairs needed
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role
- Commercial driving experience preferred
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus
- Ability to operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members
- Knowledge of refrigerated trailers is beneficial
- Strong problem-solving skills to handle unexpected situations on the road
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks related to loading/unloading
