What you should know about the day-to-day:

The Data Analyst is directly responsible for developing and implementing a set of analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software. This position will apply data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets. They will visualize, interpret, and report data findings.

Summary: Reporting directly to the Director of Data Services, the Financial Data Analyst(Pricing & Financial Analysis) is directly responsible for the extraction, analysis, reporting, and forecasting of business data to drive continual improvement of processes, pricing, and database integrity, with an emphasis on pricing & financial analysis. The ideal candidate will have a much-disciplined planning and time management approach with a track record of delivered results. The role will be highly interactive with elements of the business, but will initially start in the Data Department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities included, but not limited to:

• Analyze statistics for aircraft parts inventory and define sale pricing and costs per market and industry trend and offer support on aircraft parts repair/repair program.
• Highly proficient with Microsoft excel is a must.
• Accounting background is a plus
• Use database extraction and reporting tools such as SQL, MS Access, other data extraction tools to derive analyses and forecasts is a plus
• Mandarin speaking is a plus
• Perform routine trend analyses and data-driven process reports as assigned
• Develop quantitative analyses, custom models, and ad hoc reports as assigned/requested to monitor performance, trends, and business opportunities
• Strong finance and accounting focus, assisting in driving cost control program

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business analytics, data science, accounting, supply chain management, or business administration or equivalent experience required

• 3 years’ experience in reporting and data analysis
• 3 years working in accounting/financial data analysis is a plus
• Polished, professional communication ability, both written and oral, including ability to write technical and business documents and deliver effective oral presentations
• Strong relationship building, customer service, and teamwork skills
• Strong problem-solving skills, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis ability
• Experience with salesforce is a plus

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

While performing the responsibilities of the Pricing Data Analyst, the employee will work remotely.
