We have an opening for an Assistant General Manager position at our iconic location, P.S. Steak.

Job Title: Assistant General Manager (AGM)

Job Summary: The assistant general manager (AGM) helps the general manager to ensure that day-to-day restaurant operations run smoothly. The assistant general manager
will assist with weekly schedules, ordering, inventory, and assist the general manager with training, recruiting, promotions and planning.

Reports to: Location General Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • To oversee the restaurant's general operations. To ensure the general cleanliness
  • of the restaurant daily and the proper upkeep and maintenance to make sure the restaurant operates at an optimal level.
  • To help coordinate all training of FOH staff and hold every employee of the restaurant accountable for their conduct in line with the policies of Jester Concepts. Address and report all misconduct of any employees and complete any necessary documentation relating to incidents with staff or guests. Build and support a culture within the staff that is respectful, professional, and positive.
  • To enhance the guest experience daily. To be present on the floor and be aware of how the restaurant is always operating when on site and to handle any and or all situations that may arise with service.
  • To garner customer feedback from tables, management, and staff as well as to establish relationships with the customer as much as possible through food running, pre bussing, and table touches.
  • To constantly check on drink and food ticket times to ensure timeliness of our product to the table as well as ensuring that our service staff are executing the proper steps of service.
  • To manage and cultivate the ongoing training program aimed to educate our existing staff on all areas of service, including greeting the table, server demeanor, the menu spiel, timing of food & drink ordering, delivery for food and drink items, POS system, identifying guest cues, employee attire, clearing of the table, communication with fellow employees throughout service (ie: host, food runners, bar, wait assists & expo), watering & bread service, general table maintenance, the guest check and departure, the resetting of tables & side-work
  • To assist in financial responsibilities may include but not limited to chargebacks or refunds, banking including deposits and ATM withdrawals, end of night checkouts and reports, maintaining all city requirements and licensing and to maintain open lines of communication with leadership.
  • Organize and document daily tip trackers and other nightly financials.
  • To develop the schedule for FOH staff.
  • Make staffing decisions as appropriate for service day-of as well as for future services and private events.
  • Assist the General Manager with administrational duties.
  • Work with the leadership team to respond to reviews and feedback and address concerns within the store.
  • Responsible for the store’s social media posts, review responses and other information in conjunction with the GM.
  • Contribute to weekly store meetings including financial reports, invoice management and review, feedback and public review responses and outcomes, upcoming events, staff and store issues, ongoing initiatives and other general topics that come up.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

Experience:

  • 1 years previous experience in the restaurants in a supervisory or management role OR 3-5 years service experience as a host/server/bartender.
  • Longevity in previous roles
  • Passion for food, beverage, and genuine hospitality
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively train and motivate staff members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
  • Knowledge of Toast POS and Microsoft Teams preferred but not required.

Jester Compensation Package:

Healthcare Jester Concepts contributes a defined monthly contribution amount as listed below. Three UHC health plans available- $1000/$2000/$4000 deductible plans

· $600 Employee ($7200 annually)

· $1,100 Employee-Spouse ($13,200 annually)

· $1,100 Employee-Child ($13,200 annually)

· $2,000 Employee-Family ($24,000 annually)

Dental/vision/life insurance is available with premiums paid 100% by the company.

Employee ($487.92 annually)

· Employee-Spouse ($928.68 annually)

· Employee-Child ($1,062.36 annually)

· Employee-Family ($1,571.28 annually)

401k / Retirement: You are eligible after 3 months of service on the first of the following quarter. You will be automatically enrolled at 6% pre-tax with 401k program. You will have the option to change this deduction if you choose. John Hancock is the plan provider. Jester Concepts contributes 0.50% match for each 1% employee contribution up to 6% of employee contribution for a 3% total company match.

3% Match _$1,500-$1,800__ (annually)

Paid Time Off: We offer 10 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) annually. PTO is frontloaded on your start date and is replenished annually on January 1st. Up to 5 days of unused PTO can be carried over to the next year.

PTO Value __$1,923.08-2,307.69___

Holidays: The following holidays are paid. If a holiday falls on the day that requires you to work, another regular scheduled workday will be provided off at management approval. Please note, given the industry, there may be occasions where a holiday will need to be worked.

If a holiday falls on your regular day off, you will not receive an additional day off in lieu of your regular day.

-Dining Stipend- $50 monthly dining stipend to use at any of our locations while you are an employee. This is provided to you on a gift card which will be loaded each month. The amount does not expire while you are an employee.

Base Salary: $50,000-$60,000

Comp Value: $13,441.77 - $14,472.53

Total Comp Package: $63,441.77 - $74,472.53 (does not include bonuses)
