YOUR ROLE:

As the Assistant Manager you will be supporting the General Manager in maintaining effective daily business operations. This includes responsibilities such as creating weekly schedules, managing inventory, ensuring a safe and clean work environment, and assisting in various aspects of personnel management such as recruiting, training, coaching, employee performance evaluations, promotions, and general staff planning. You will assist the General Manager in planning, promoting, and implementing strategies and tactics to attract new customers and repeat business. You will be part of a highly motivated team focused on delivering superior service, maximizing customer satisfaction, and responding efficiently and accurately to customer complaints.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • 3 to 5 years of restaurant experience preferred
  • 2 years of management and/or leadership experience preferred
  • Strong leadership and management abilities with high standards of service and professionalism.
  • Exceptional time management and organization skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Strong working knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
  • Thrive in a fast paced work environment
  • Strong work ethic and accountability
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience

· Ability to lead a team and communicate efficiently, both verbally and in writing

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE:

  • In the absence of the restaurants’ General Manager serves as the General Manager and performs all duties and responsibilities of the General Manager
  • Assists with the daily operations of the restaurant.
  • Assists with the management of all areas in front and back of house.
  • Ensures high food quality and customer/employee safety.
  • Creates a positive guest experience by delivering a high level of service and ensuring all team members engage in conversations with guests to understand their needs and exceed their expectations.
  • Maintains overall cleanliness of restaurant, inside and out.
  • Assists in coordination with the General Manager and Human Resources appropriate labor management processes including employee interviewing, hiring, coaching, performance evaluations, corrective actions, and terminations.
  • Reenforces a positive team environment by recognizing and reinforcing individual and team accomplishments
  • Assists with training and ensuring that individual development opportunities are available to all staff.
  • Provides motivational leadership to fellow Jersey Mike’s team members.
  • Ensures all Jersey Mike’s inventory control, food preparation, and cleaning procedures and guidelines are followed.
  • Assists with staff and management scheduling ensuring that it is completed and published in accordance with Human Resources’ policies, guidelines, and timelines.
  • Assists Corporate Leadership with expense tracking, and local restaurant marketing and promotion as may be needed.
  • Conducts other responsibilities and duties as may be assigned.

Pay: $38,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
