Description

Oversees and participates in the manufacturing of products as determined by production schedules, forecasts, and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Leads the activities of employees; provides assistance to workers engaged in production activities; troubleshoots worker and production problems and recommends solutions. Engages in interactive communication. Trains workers in production methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures, and company policies. Monitors comprehension and re-trains as necessary.
• Participates in and oversees the production process, from beginning to end and ensures the quality of the product.
• Supervises other employees, which includes: interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work; motivating, evaluating, rewarding and disciplining employees.
• Organizes the daily work flow based on direction from the Production Manager and production schedules; ensuring each team in production is well informed of the daily tasks and deadlines set forth for the day.
• Properly operates all tools and equipment based on safety procedures and specified guidelines. Maintains organized area and properly stores tools, materials, etc. Cleans working area by sweeping excess debris on a continuous basis to ensure a safe work area.

Qualifications

• Preferred Experience: Between 5 and 10 years
• Ability to read and interpret production drawings
• Bilingual in English/Spanish - Preferred
• Experience working with a Quality Control program
• Experience working with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
• Previous supervisory experience - Required
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word Processor)
• Strong communications skills to include both verbal and written communication
