We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Front Office Patient Service Rep to join our team. This is a full-time position within our Neurology clinic. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure.
Normal working hours are Monday- Thursday 7:30-4:30, and Friday 8;00-12:00. However, hours could vary based on the needs of the department/clinic.
Salary is based on experience.

Directs daily activities and operations of the front office including office staff schedules.
Assists with the orientation, development, and evaluation of the reception staff. Leads proactively and is a visionary who influences and mentors. Knowledge of insurance process. Participates in educational experiences designed to maintain competence. Appropriately utilizes facility communication systems. Effectively communicates with staff. Performs functions essential to the billing process. Demonstrates knowledge and ability to check patients in and out for their clinic visit. Provides appropriate safety and infection control measures. Provides professional, quality customer service at all times. Responsible for standard clinic mail operations. Educate new hires within organization on check in process. Responsible for the completion of prior authorizations, internal and external referrals, patients needing FLMA or disability paperwork and appeal/deny letters. Schedules appointments and discuss any pre-collections with patients once benefits, eligibility and authorizations are confirmed. JCMG Core Competencies: Strives for continuous quality improvement. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: High school graduate or GED Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in customer service setting, preferably six months of receptionist experience in a healthcare setting Certification/License: N/A Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of medical billing preferred Computer literate and general clerical skills Experience with office equipment Medical terminology desired WORK ENVIRONMENT Works in heated and air-conditioned area consistent with a normal office environment.
