The Director of Information Technology serves as a strategic partner, supporting the Firm's leadership team and providing direction and insight into the Firm's technology operations. Engaging with every member of the Firm, harnessing the collective ambitions of the individuals, and translating that into actionable solutions for the success of the Firm will prove both challenging and rewarding. The Director of Information Technology will lead a team that delivers a culture of excellence that enables everyone at JMBM to do their best work.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Management & Leadership
The Director of Technology is responsible for the overall performance of the Firm's engineering and help desk teams He/she will provide technology leadership; direct, plan, organize and supervise the activities of the IT Department; ensure the effective and secure operation of technology systems and services; and manage the IT budget and resources and vendor relationships. Responsibilities and expectations include, but are not limited to:
Infrastructure & Security
The Director of Technology is responsible for designing, implementing and supporting the network infrastructure, applications and all other related technologies (physical, virtual and cloud) throughout the organization. The role is extremely hands-on and you will be expected to not only provide guidance but serve as subject matter expert and architect to all aspects of the network domain, with the ability to assist in design and configurations regularly. Knowledge and experience with the following systems is preferred:
Applications/Desktop & User Support Services
The Director of Technology is responsible for identifying user needs, resolving problems and directing the IT team to provide top quality, consistently available computer service, support, training and maintenance of technology systems; ensuring attorney and staff have the appropriate tools to satisfy their practice needs, perform their duties and serve the Firm’s clients. Knowledge and experience with the following applications is preferred:

About the Person
The Director of Technology must be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the Firm and must be able to develop productive relationships with attorneys and staff. Candidates must have the experience and knowledge to engender confidence and respect from the partners and executives. Candidates must be collaborative by nature and have experience working in a collaborative environment. He/she must also be an effective leader and mentor to all staff in the IT area. The successful candidate will have experience developing and implementing major IT changes firm-wide.
The role
As an experienced IT Director, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the Firm's engineering and help desk teams; as well as, managing the IT budget, resources, and vendor relationships. Ideally, you will be comfortable with designing, implementing, and supporting the network infrastructure, applications, and all other related technologies (physical, virtual, and cloud) throughout the organization.
The Individual
As the ideal candidate, you will have the following skills and experiences:
Location: 5 days onsite until 90-day probation, then optional 1 day per week remote (Century City)
Salary: $230k - $250k base plus excellent package on offer including insurance and performance-related bonuses. The base pay offered will depend upon a variety of factors.
