Senior Manager Marketing & Creative Operations
We are looking for an experienced Marketing & Creative Operations leader to drive transformation across Marketing, Creative, Customer Engagement, Data and Analytics teams. Your opportunity is to impact the lives of our customers while driving growth for one of the best brands in America. The ideal leader will be passionate about customer outcomes, have experience building workflows and processes to support the End-to-End Content Supply chain in a retail space and have expertise in modern Marketing technology systems (DAM, CRM, Workfront, and more). You will report to the Head or Marketing & Creative Operations as a leader in our Marketing organization. You will serve as a primary partner as we bring content, process and technology together to better enable a more efficient content development lifecycle and deliver a more personalized experience to our customer. You will be responsible for driving business value by using People, Process, and Tools to improve marketing operations and collaboration with partners. Marketing Ops will apply the scope of its work across the full Marketing function. This would sit alongside, Creative, Marketing Strategy, Customer Strategy, and Customer Insights.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Builder of marketing processes to drive efficiencies, optimize asset production, deliver capacity planning and apply agile ways of working at scale.
  • Maintain up to date process workflows and related toolsets used to facilitate end to end processes.
  • Develop and support overall marketing process schedules from inception to completion, including resource planning & management, issues & risk management, monitoring progress, reporting & documentation.
  • Manage the optimization and evolution of marketing process to ensure delivery on the changing needs of the business.
  • Drive cross functional collaboration for marketing planning at the annual and seasonal levels to ensure delivery of key planning and execution milestones.
  • Development of agile marketing practices across the organization; drive continuous process improvement and seek ways to do things better, faster, and more efficiently.
  • Integrate the application of common technology tools across the organizing building universal adoption by associates to maximize efficiency performance reporting and application evolution.
  • Oversee and support the annual financial planning development and monthly management of the marketing budget process helping team leads manage budgets and support leadership decisioning across marketing investments.
  • Partner with leaders from across Marketing, Creative and Technology to define and maintain a comprehensive modern marketing technology architecture and roadmap including the Digital Asset Management/Content Hub, MRM, Studio Production Management (Shotflow/Global Edit), Adobe Creative Cloud, etc.
  • Ensure our MarTech capabilities enable marketing to deliver on goals and plans.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and manage expectations.
  • Stay up to date with marketing technologies, vendors, and best practices.
Core Competencies & Accomplishments:
  • Bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing or related discipline
  • 8 years of relevant experience managing/leading marketing/advertising/creative services and or operational teams.
  • 5 years of experience using project management or related workflow tools, Solid understanding of theories of project management and experience in how to put those theories into action - agile, waterfall, Kanban, etc.
  • Demonstrated project management and operational skills to manage budget and timelines as well as prioritize and effectively manage multiple projects to ensure delivery of top-quality output within established timeframes.

  • Documented experience with and understanding of the creative process across email, digital, and mass media.
  • 5 years of management experience required in order to select, train, manage and develop staff.
  • Logically plan and sort out information coupled with being nimble and flexible with quick reaction and performance under deadline pressures.
  • Experience managing processes, resources and schedules with a strong sense of urgency and ability to problem-solve and be resourceful.
  • Experience operating in a cross functional, matrixed organization and capable of driving results across organizational boundaries.
  • Individual should be able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced and highly-fluid environment.
  • Appreciation for creativity with business acumen. A natural collaborator and enabler.
  • Strong communication and follow up skills to keep internal and external teams always informed on project workflow and solid organization skills with the ability to multi-task and reprioritize work.
  • MAC proficient and skilled using MS Office applications. 4 years of experience using project management or related workflow tools, and experience with Workfront is ideal.
