Responsible for all aspects of kitting and warehousing for parts activity. Responsible for managing all activities associated with inventory movement and accuracy. Additionally, this position manages shipping and receiving of all materials. The Nuts and BoltsEstablish working relationships with all departments and branches of the company, with emphasis on upfit production, and offer assistance when neededDevelop strong relationship with purchasing and involve those team members when necessaryDirect and control operational activities for materials department and warehouse activitiesEstablish and maintain effective inventory management program consistent with plant strategyDevelop and implement effective long-term improvement strategies for warehouse function supporting overall plant strategic directionDevelop and monitor key performance indicators and report to management as requiredProvide direction and support to all assigned team members, including hiring, training, coaching, conducting performance reviews and assigning performance measuresDevelop and maintain plant cycle count programSchedule and execute ground and Air freight to internal and external customersDevelop and/or follow procedures and policies as required, as well as complying with all Company policies and proceduresMonitor all department expenses and regulate as neededInteract with customers in a friendly and professional mannerLead and/or participate in assigned special projects and initiativesConduct and/or support annual inventoryMaintain a clean and safe work environment, adhere to Environmental Health & Safety regulations Required CredentialsThree (3) to eight (8) years of experience in a warehouse environmentThree (3) years in a supervisory role preferred, preference given to individuals with Materials management experienceMust possess a strong Customer focus and a strong desire to achieve specified resultsExperience with LEAN/Six Sigma and 5S preferredAbility to effectively coach, counsel and discipline employees with support of human resources departmentExtensive knowledge of material, planning and logistic processesExtensive knowledge of inventory management and controlsHow We Make an ImpactAt Reading Truck, we have more than 65 years of industry leadership in the manufacture, distribution, and enhancement of work truck bodies.
