Perform setup and maintenance during the life of durability test stands. Provide direction to other test technicians on how to conduct vehicle and subsystem testing. As well as collaborating with team members across the company on design and build support.The ideal candidate will have good communication skills and an outgoing personality, capable of working with a wide range of people, both internally and externally to EAVX. This role will not be the supervisor of other test technicians but will aid in training and overseeing the other test technicians. Little to no supervision will be expected for tests assigned to this role.Essential Responsibilities:Setup and conduct testing of technology/controls systems, mechanical, electrical, and thermal systems in vehicle solutionsInstrument EAVX test assetsPrepare EAVX test assets for shipmentPerform maintenance on in-house durability test standsOversee and train the other test technicians, directing them on proper testing techniquesSupport testing conducted at an external test house (e.g. HVAC thermal chamber testing, shaker testing, etc.)Collaborate on fixture designsTest stand fixturesFabrication/Prototype fixturesAssist with build supportCoordinate and conduct build evaluations Required Qualifications:10 years testing experience in the automotive industryExperience in FMVSS requirement reviewTesting experience in the following:Mechanical systems or component testingElectrical systems testingThermal testingVehicle feature and functional testingControls testingDemonstrated experience with test and task management activitiesPractical experience with test management tools (e.g. Polarion, Jama, etc.)Practical experience with task management tools (e.g. Jira, Excel, etc.)Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated experience making presentations and technical reportsDemonstrated initiative, persuasion, and strong listening skillsProficient in MS OfficeFMVSS testing experience preferredAssociate’s Degree in a Technical Field preferred#LI-AZ
