Get paid to play with truck!How You Will Make an ImpactThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on all production equipment including all fabrication equipment mechanical and hydraulic, conveyor systems, welding machines, e-coating and powder coating systems. We are a leading manufacturer, distributor and fleet sales expert of premium truck bodies with commercial upfit for vocational markets nationwide. The Nuts and BoltsThe ability to follow diagrams, prints, sketches operations manuals and engineering specificationsResponsible for observing and troubleshooting malfunctionsMust be able to install machinery/equipment, assembling or repairing wiring, electronic and electrical components, pluming, piping, hydraulic and pneumatic systemsResponsible for repairing and or replacing defective or faulty equipment parts using hand tools and power toolsMust be able to weld (ex. mig, stick/ flux core as well as fit and cut metals/aluminumProvides emergency unscheduled repairs which may require overtime and some weekendsProvides regular preventative maintenance on machines and equipmentWill be responsible for facility snow removalMust follow all OSHA safety standards in all work that is performed, (Lock Out Tag Out)Employee must be able to recognize their individual obligations to conduct themselves with due regard not only for their own safety but for the safety of their fellow employeesAdditional training may be required depending on the job assignmentAbility to diagnose equipment and systemsBasic industrial electrical knowledgeMust be able to properly use a cutting torchAbility to read and follow printsAbility to accurately read all types of measuring devicesPreferred former plumbing experienceFamiliarity using “Copper” and “PVC piping”Ability to operate a fork truck/power workerMust be able to successfully pass the standard written and riding forklift testRequired CredentialsPrior Maintenance experience preferredManufacturing industry background experience preferred How We Make an ImpactAt Reading Truck, we have more than 65 years of industry leadership in the manufacture, distribution, and enhancement of work truck bodies.
