About the Role
The Software Developer is a talented and motivated member of our digital innovation team, contributing to the creation and enhancement of proprietary software solutions for design and production work. They support the maintenance and documentation of the current systems in addition to working with the head of software development to develop and deploy innovative computational and artificial intelligence tools.
Primary Responsibilities:
Design

• Develop custom solutions to enable design and work process efficiency automation.
• Support:
  • the development of in-house tools including Thrux, existing and new custom Autodesk tools, and existing and new workflow efficiency tools.
  • the evaluation of 3rd party Artificial Intelligence tools.
  • the development of in-house AI models using various techniques including computer vision, speech recognition & synthesis, natural language processing, machine learning, knowledge representation & reasoning, and search & optimization.
• Work with BIM team to understand standards and ensure alignment between BIM content and custom software solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional MEP engineering and Corporate Services teams on application development to support workflow efficiency needs.

Project Support

• Provide as-needed technical support to end users, helping team members to use software solutions effectively.
• Coordinate training on new products and features with the KM team.
• Work with other Software developers to develop MEP cross-trade collaboration logic.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; recommends changes to HR policies and practices accordingly.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 1-4 years of experience
• Possesses cursory knowledge of MEP systems with goal of becoming proficient within 6 months
• Possesses understanding of relational data
• Possesses an understanding of trade specific/Energy/Building Codes
• Has a general understanding of the building design lifecycle.
• Possesses working knowledge of Revit, ACC, Navisworks, and other related platforms.
• Possesses working knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platforms and other related programming tools.
• Proficiency with computational design applications.
• Technical experience:
  • C# | Javascript | Python
  • CSS | WPF | XAML
  • Azure web services (Cosmos/Functions/AppServices)
  • ASP.NET | Javascript
  • Revit/AC API

Estimated compensation range: $100,000-$125,000 a year (exempt).
