Jansen, Inc. a is a heavy civil general contractor that excels at larger scale municipal projects. Based in Bellingham and Seattle we are now seeking a professional and dependable Payroll Specialist. The ideal candidate will have experience with both union and non-union payrolls and all reporting requirements. This is a “hands-on” position, not a supervisory position. This position reports to the company Controller and is responsible for all phases of the payroll process.

Starting pay range is $65,000 - $75,000, depending on experience.
Benefits:
100% Employer paid Medical & Dental premiums for full time employee and eligible dependents and Vision coverage available.
*Vacation Accrual:
Years 1-2 -Two weeks – 80 hrs.
Years 3-4 - Three weeks – 120 hrs.
Years 5 - Four Weeks – 160 hrs.
*Once you have successfully completed your 60-day introductory period, you can request and begin using vacation days.
*Personal Days:
Year 1 3 Personal Days
Year 2 4 Personal Days
Year 3 5 personal Days

Sick: Earn 1-hour of sick leave for every 40 hours worked.
Holidays (8 Paid Holidays): New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day (4th of July), Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Additional Benefits:
Based in the Bellingham office - 5 days/week.
