In this role, you will lead a team that serves as regional support for JAN-PRO Cleaning & Disinfecting franchisees — including business to business sales, office solutions, customer service, certifying on brand standards, and more. You’ll leverage your management and leadership expertise to assist in establishing the direction of daily activities, ensuring efficient operations, and creating an overall productive and enjoyable working environment for your team.

Adaptability, empathy, self-motivation, and organization skills are must-haves in this job. A little about JAN-PRO Development of Houston: JAN-PRO Franchise Development is in business to support JAN-PRO Cleaning & Disinfecting businesses. Supporting JAN-PRO Cleaning & Disinfecting franchisees along the way with state-of-the-art systems and process, certification, and customer acquisition. As regional franchisors, JAN-PRO Franchise Development businesses are there with franchisees every step of the way. Franchisees build the business of their dreams with the coaching and guidance available from our in-market experts at JAN-PRO Franchise Development.

WHAT YOU’LL DO: Responsibilities

What you can expect on a typical day:

  • Success in this role is based entirely on growing business. Managing outside sales, lead generation through cold calling, and closing business are 50% of the position.
  • Secondly, you successful at hiring, training, and managing a team to maintain our existing business through phone contact and on-site visits each month. Average monthly loss of less than 99% of business is the retention target.
  • Recruiting, training, and mentoring franchisees who will service all business in the Houston market.
  • Lead the Daily Activities of the entire JAN-PRO Development of Houston Team. You will provide leadership, guidance, and direction to team members and ensure they complete work according to scheduled deadlines with attention to quality standards, priorities, and overall goals. You will oversee the use of standard process workflows by your team. You will also track various productivity and performance standards to ensure that established levels are achieved, especially during critical activity periods. You will analyze team statistics and prepare reports for your leadership.
  • You will evaluate associates on performance and complete performance appraisals. You will work in collaboration with your team members to establish Individual Development Plans. Develop and administer corrective action and performance improvement plans. You will have hire/fire authority in conjunction with the owner group.
  • You hold yourself and the team members to the highest ethical standards. Your ownership group believes integrity is the most crucial element to our business and our lives.
  • You will function as a consultant and business partner to franchisees and collaborate to establish best practices.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE: Required Qualifications

  • Past performance in B2B sales and sales management with face-to-face lead generation and sales execution successes.
  • 5 years of people leadership experience
  • Experience leading a business-to-business sales team

A college degree is great but not required. What’s more important is having the skills to do the job. If you don’t have a college degree, other acceptable experiences could include:

  • Experience noted above OR
  • Military experience where skills including teamwork, adaptability, organization, and follow-through will help you build team and client relationships, identify solutions, and achieve success.

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. This position includes additional compensation in the form of bonus and commissions. The range includes some bonus compensation based on performance. We offer the following benefits: Medical, Dental, Mileage Allowance, Holidays, Personal Days, and more. The compensation for this role is $120,000.00 to $150,000 / Year
