James Moore Advisory LLC is Hiring an Event Planner Near Raleigh, NC

Are you a creative mastermind who loves making events unforgettable? Then we have the perfect opportunity for you! We are searching for a talented individual who has experience with Event Planning in the global marketplace to join the team.

James Moore & Co, P.L.'s H.R. Solutions team, is currently working with AGN International-North America in search of an Event Planner in a part-time or contract capacity. AGN International is a worldwide association of separate and independent accounting, tax, and advisory businesses that provide services across the globe.

As the Event Planner, you are responsible for planning and executing timelines, budgets, and logistics for a variety of events, including committee meetings, conferences, seminars, and workshops.

Additionally, you will:

  • Develop event budgets and track expenses to ensure events stay within budgetary constraints.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to secure favorable pricing and terms for both the North American team and the International team.
  • Prepare post-event financial reports and analysis.
  • Scout and inspect event venues.
  • Ensure compliance with insurance, legal, health and safety obligations.
  • Provide periodic reports to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with vendors, sponsors, and venues to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Oversee all aspects of event setup, including registration, signage, audiovisual equipment, room set-up and catering.
  • Research industry trends to create relevant and engaging events.
  • Develop promotional materials, including event invitations, flyers, and social media posts.
  • Monitor and track event registration and attendance to gauge effectiveness of marketing efforts.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to the AGN team, attendees, sponsors, and speakers before, during, and after events.
  • Implement strategies to enhance attendee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Collect feedback and evaluate event success to identify areas for improvement.

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, marketing, or related experience.
  • Proven experience in event planning and execution, preferably in a professional association or corporate setting.
  • Experience with global contract negotiations and budget management.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies.

What you'll bring:

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and event management software.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for event coverage.
  • Knowledge of accounting or finance industry (preferred but not required).
