Join our client's dynamic team in the realm of steel product sales and trading! We're seeking a Sales Manager - Trading to spearhead our regional strategy, focusing on coated products predominantly. Reporting to the CEO of AMI NAFTA, you'll be instrumental in coordinating with business line heads and supply sources, particularly in Asia, to ensure seamless execution of our trading endeavors.
Responsibilities include devising and implementing action plans, collaborating with our sales and sourcing teams across regions, and managing trading activities within the NAFTA perimeter. You'll also oversee certain flat products, enhancing our market presence and profitability.
Your role will involve:

• Strategizing and executing trading initiatives within the NAFTA region, aligning efforts with business line managers and the sourcing team.
• Supporting our sales team to boost trading sales across AMI NAFTA.
• Developing and implementing commercial strategies alongside country managers.
• Active participation in budget planning and BAR meetings, driving trading initiatives forward.
• Providing mentorship and guidance to our sales team, instilling a trader mindset.
• Sharing and implementing best commercial practices to optimize performance.
• Monitoring supply markets closely, sharing insights for informed decision-making.
• Facilitating information exchange between suppliers and sales teams.
• Collaborating with marketing to build a comprehensive Market Intelligence Database.

We require candidates with a BSc/BA in engineering, business administration, or a related field, along with:

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in office management and record-keeping.
• Strong customer orientation and data analysis abilities.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with PowerBI.
• Fluency in English; Spanish proficiency is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 25% of the time).

Compensation: $120K - $140K/yr. 25-45% bonus
