Our Foster Care program provides treatment, training, and homes for children in Hampton Roads, Virginia. Many of our families live in Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Newport News, and Hampton. We are proud to place children into stable and loving foster parents homes and we work to ensure that a good fit between the foster family and the child.
As a Child Placing Specalist for Foster Care you would be administering and monitoring clinical functions to help ensure appropriateness of services being rendered. These services include treatment and service planning, monitoring and oversight to ensure that children receive safe, appropriate and structured care as well as coordination of services for the child.
Qualifications
A doctorate or master's degree in social work from a college or university accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, plus three years of experience in providing casework services to children and families; or
A doctorate or master's degree in a field related to social work such as, but not limited to, sociology, psychology, special education, or counseling with at least four years of experience in providing casework services to children and families in a child-placing agency; or
Bachelors in Human Services or related filed plus five years of experience in providing casework services to children and families
Ability to maintain and analyze statistical data and/or trends as it relates to census
Knowledge of growth and development in children, adolescents, and developmentally disabled youth.

Duties:
Responsible for coordinating with Program Director for ongoing operations of the program
Assure that Foster Care program is abiding by CARF standards, internal policy as well as State Regulations
Assist in fiscal planning by developing and implementing the annual budget as it pertains to census, as well as oversight of reinbursement for care.
Conduct and/or assign referral development activities and establish an annual referral development plan
Review procedure of clinical review to properaly assess client needs for appropriateness of family placement
Organize and/or conduct preplacement interviews with potential clients based on admission criteria

$3,000 per calendar year after 6 months of tenure
