We’re looking for an experienced Program Operations Manager in Chicago, IL. As a key member of a collaborative team, you’ll support our Program Management team and Client in establishing operations oversight for successful delivery of program objectives, projects, and deliverables. We’ll empower you to be responsible for overall work progress and technical performance on the program by utilizing well established program management procedures and industry-standard best practices. You’ll also manage Jacobs offsite support staff and be responsible for day-to-day operations of Jacobs responsibilities within the client’s program. This will include Jacobs onsite full time Project Managers, Design Managers and Controls team working as staff augmentation under the direction of client staff.

You’ll play a significant role in business activities by bringing added value to our client through the following responsibilities:

Project Controls and Project Management/Construction Management (PM/CM)

• Review and manage contracts, systems, and operations into 1 cohesive unit
• As contracts change, systems change, personnel changes, these are constantly being updated, reviewed, and implemented
• Manage closeout

General Contractors (GCs), Architects Of Record (AORs), Purchase Orders (POs)

• Building / developing / enforcing metrics to manage the various vendors at the PM/CM side
• Understand and implement Master Agreement Contracts established by the Client
• Review and provide insight to improve Master Agreement Contracts to better align with client needs
• GC KPI Management
• Management of Closeout, PM and Project Controls individuals
• Evaluate and mitigating risk to the client

Here’s what you’ll need:

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management
• 10 years of operations management experience
• Understanding of project life cycle, with focus on process development and implementation
• Experience in managing Design Managers, Project Managers, and a Controls team
