Design your career with a company that inspires and empowers you to deliver your best work so you can evolve, grow and succeed - today and into tomorrow Your Impact: Performs technical analysis to determine the root cause of failure and the corrective actions needed for new or existing integrated circuit designs; circuits that fail portions of either military or commercial reliability testing, circuits packaged in advanced microelectronic packages or on boards such as BGAs, Printed Wiring Boards, and Multi-Chip Modules; and similar efforts originating outside the microelectronics organization. (U) Work with assembly and reliability assurance engineers to establish and meet stated product reliability requirements.
(U) Work with chip designers and test engineers to analyze device failures and make recommendations for corrective actions.
(U) Analyze and photo document electronic components and systems; characterize circuit behavior; disassemble, delayer, cross-section, and micro-machine packaged electronic components, semiconductor die, and electronic systems; and generate technical reports.
(U) Proficient in the use of Imaging analytical equipment (e.g. optical, laser and electron microscopes, photon emission, thermal infrared, radiographic, acoustic, and magnetic microscopes).
(U) Proficient in the use of Probing analytical equipment (e.g. manual and programmable mechanical workstations, electron beam and laser voltage probing).
(U) Proficient in the use of Electrical Test analytical equipment (e.g. automated test systems including program development, bench-top equipment and specialty meters, curve tracer, oscilloscopes, and TDR).
(U) Proficient in the use of Sample Preparation analytical equipment (e.g. plastic decapsulation, plasma etching, CNC milling, metallurgical tools and techniques, Focused iob bean cross sectioning, delayering, and circuit edit (microsurgery)).
(U) Proficient in the use of Material Analysis analytical equipment (e.g. EDS and XRF systems, uFTIR) #LI-MC2 #CJPOST #DICEPOST Here's What You'll Need: Fifteen (15) years' experience with microelectronics failure analysis. Bachelor's degree in electrical, electronic, computer engineering; systems engineer; physics; mathematics; or computer science. Minimum of six years of experience with RAM, EPROM, EEPROM, microprocessors, special purpose custom circuits or semi-custom Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs). Five years of experience with scanning electron Microscopes, Focused Ion Beams, and other associated diagnostic equipment. Experience with VLSI. Bachelor's degree in electrical, electronic, computer engineering; systems engineer; physics; mathematics; or computer science. Fifteen (15) years' experience with microelectronics failure analysis. Bachelor's degree in electrical, electronic, computer engineering; systems engineer; physics; mathematics; or computer science. Minimum of six years of experience with RAM, EPROM, EEPROM, microprocessors, special purpose custom circuits or semi-custom Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs). Five years of experience with scanning electron Microscopes, Focused Ion Beams, and other associated diagnostic equipment. Experience with VLSI. Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI/POLY This position requires a Top Secret/SCI security clearance, based on current background investigation (SBI), as well as the favorable completion of polygraph. Clearance and polygraph processing will be completed by the U.S. Government.
