```Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Preschool Director to join our team. As the Preschool Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our preschool, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow. The Director of Jacob’s Learning Ladder is a member of the Grace Presbyterian Church Staff. As a member of the Grace staff, they work closely with members of the Grace Jacob’s Learning Ladder Board, governing committees, and the congregation. The Director must be conversant in and practice Christian faith. Active participation in the congregation is encouraged. This is a leadership role that requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for early childhood education.
Duties:
- Work with the Assistant Director/Curriculum Coordinator to hire, train schedule, supervise and evaluate staff for classroom positions
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with parents, addressing any concerns or questions
- Manage administrative tasks such as budgeting, enrollment, scheduling, and record-keeping
- Work with the Assistant Director/Curriculum Coordinator to ensure compliance with all licensing regulations and maintain a safe and clean learning environment
- Plan and implement monthly all-staff meeting, including team building
- Attend weekly Grace staff meetings and occasional Grace staff retreats
- Collaborate with the church, community organizations and resources to enhance the preschool program
- Ensure that the Preschool website and social media is up to date.
- Research and implement the process for any outside financial support such as grant opportunities or other resources
Experience:
- Current Directors License for 100 students registered with KDHE
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role in an early childhood education setting
- Familiarity with state licensing regulations and accreditation standards
- Proven organizational, time management and communication skills with attention to detail
- Understand financial management and analysis
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel etc.)
- Current certification in First Aid and CPR
