Position Overview: As a Field Technician at Mann IT, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the execution of on-site troubleshooting, help desk tickets, and project work. This position requires a proactive and technically adept individual with a combination of excellent communication skills and patience to deliver exceptional support to our clients. As part of our company’s vision and continual learning and growth, you will have the opportunity to learn new skills and master new technologies, including cyber-security tools and strategies.

Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service:

· Interact and listen to clients with kindness and patience.

· Explain things clearly without fancy tech lingo, multiple times if needed.

· Acknowledge the diversity of people with various backgrounds and technical skills, so they feel confident, respected, and not stupid.

2. On-Site Installations:

· Execute on-site installations of hardware, software, and network systems for clients.

· Ensure the seamless integration of new technologies into existing infrastructures.

3. Help Desk Support:

· Respond to and resolve help desk tickets promptly and effectively

· Troubleshoot hardware and software issues remotely or on-site to ensure minimal downtime for clients.

· Follow company procedures for ticket, time, and expense entries.

4. Technical Documentation:

· Create and maintain accurate documentation for on-site installations and configurations.

· Provide detailed reports and updates to clients and internal teams.

5. Collaboration:

· Collaborate with other dynamic team members to address complex technical issues and provide creative new solutions.

6. Training and Education:

· Provide basic training to end-users on new IT systems and technologies.

· Stay informed about industry trends and advancements to contribute to our company’s continual dev ops and security posture growth.

7. Physical Requirements:

· Lift and carry up to 20 pounds of equipment and peripherals.

· Perform tasks that may require bending, stooping, and reaching.

· Must be able to climb ladders and use lift equipment on occasion.

· May spend most of the day standing while on-site.

*Complete other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

· Minimum of 1 year of experience in IT support, on-site installations, and help desk functions

· Proficient in troubleshooting hardware and software issues using RMM and other MSP dashboard tools

· Familiarity with using PSA software to manage time and tickets, e.g. ConnectWise, AutoTask, or equivalent

· Strong knowledge of operating systems, networks, and IT security.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially patience and humility.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
