Our client, a family owned company since 1980 that has grown from a local supplier to a recognized industry leader throughout North America, needs your Engineering background and experience. As a valued team member, you will will be responsible for designing and specifying mechanical components related to electric overhead traveling cranes and hoists.

Key Responsibilities

• Specify/source electrical components/systems for overhead traveling cranes – including: automation, motors, brakes, wiring, electrification, pendants, festooning, and any other related electrical systems 
• Creation of schematics, drawings, and detailed bills of materials
• Interaction with customers, co-workers and outside vendors
• Troubleshoot electrical systems/problems 
• May be required to make occasional field visits to review, analyze, recommend and gather information for sales proposals
• Support sales, manufacturing and service
• Prepare sales estimates for electrical components/systems – any of the above mentioned items
• Work closely with both internal and external customers
• Internal customer support: generating technical solutions in cooperation with the sales associates, assisting with order entry and production planning, working through manufacturing challenges due to engineering problems, component availability, and shop issues. 
• External customer support: emails, telephone conversations, and site visits for the purpose of gathering information in support of an inquiry or order, equipment troubleshooting, and proposal presentations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year degree in electrical engineering 
• 1 year of electrical engineering experience required 
• Basic PC proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite
