**Governmental Sales Representative Location**

This position will cover the Territory between Abilene, TX and Odessa, TX. The ideal candidate is located in the middle of the two cities, such as Big Spring, TX.

**Governmental Sales Representative Position Purpose**

The Governmental Sales Representative will take all actions necessary to secure and maintain a market share and rental volume level in an assigned sales territory covering governmental entities including state, county and city governments, DOT, city owned airports, U.S. government installations, turnpike authorities, rural water districts, post office, Indian tribes, etc.

**Governmental Sales Representative** **Responsibilities**

* Establish and maintain personal relationship with customers, determine customer needs and best way to satisfy those needs

* Understand and apply marketing and finance programs, prepare quotations outlining features, benefits & any available financing programs

* Achieve and maintain excellent product knowledge through sales schools and self -study

* Develop and continue to improve inter-personal and sales skills through schools and self-study

* Organize time and information in a manner to maximize effectiveness

* Study and maintain knowledge of competitions products, finance and marketing programs

* Act as Liaison between KSMI and customers in all aspects of customer relations

* Follow up to insure that all aspects of sales and rental transactions are correct and completed on time

* Complete all required paperwork correctly and on time

* Insure that all contracts and transactions are conducted in an ethical and professional manner

**Governmental Sales Representative Qualifications**

* Minimum of three years of construction equipment sales experience preferred

* Experience in sales to governments and their entities/familiarity with governmental bidding processes a plus

* Excellent interpersonal skills

* Excellent communication skills

* High School Education with some post secondary education preferred

* Self motivated with ability to organize and manage time effectively

* Intermediate level computer skills with working knowledge of : Work, Excel, & Outlook

* Some overnight travel required
