IVFMD is seeking a medical assistant to join our team. The individual in this role will primarily work in our Irving office location. The ideal candidate is responsible, flexible, and energetic. Responsibilities:

• Anticipates/prepares equipment or supplies needed for each visit. Accurately prepares patient chart for provider, including reason for visit and updated treatment plan.
• Obtains accurate vital signs.
• Performs specimen collection as needed, with attention to safety and sterility. Ensures accurate labeling of all collected specimens via patient verbal confirmation and chart verification.
• Administers intramuscular and subcutaneous injections per patient treatment plan.
• Escorts patient to exam/procedure room, identifies patient with two identifiers, and prepares patient for examination.
• Cleans and prepares exam room for next patient.
• Prioritizes and responds to patient and provider needs to expedite visits and maintain flow of patients.
• Assists practitioner with medical and surgical procedures in accordance with established protocols such as: specimen collection, hysterosalpingogram, saline infusion sonogram, hysteroscopy, endometrial biopsy, egg retrieval, embryo transfer, and intrauterine insemination.
• Prepares and stocks all exam rooms in treatment areas by following established protocols for disinfecting and sterilizing equipment and instruments.
• Monitors and maintains equipment and instruments according to clinic guidelines.
• Assists in ordering supplies and correctly disposes of all expired items.
• Adheres to office opening and closing procedures.
• Responds to all patient voicemails and portal messages in a timely and professional manner.
• Communicates appropriately and effectively with patients and patient care team (in the office, via the patient portal, and on the phone).
• Prepares and administers written, verbal, and audiovisual patient education specific to each patient’s treatment plan.
• Maintains open communication and follow-up with each assigned patient to ensure successful implementation and completion of treatment plan.
• Provides each patient with required consent forms and ensures these are complete and in patient’s medical record prior to each procedure.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of accredited Medical Assistant training program.
• Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) OR Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through American Medical Technologists (AMT) OR National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) through the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
• American Heart Association accredited Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification.
• One to two years experience in a relevant role.
• Strong computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Phlebotomy
• IV, IM, and SQ medication administration
• Experience with eClinicalWorks
• Bilingual, Spanish

Monday/Wednesday 8AM to 6PM

Tuesday/Thursday 8AM to 5PM

Friday 8AM to 2PM

1 Saturday per month from 8AM to 12PM
