iTech Las Vegas is Hiring an IT Field Service Technician Near Las Vegas, NV

Summary

We are currently looking for an experienced, service oriented, highly motivated and "schedule flexible" Field Service Technician. This role requires the highest level of "Vegas Style" of service. The right candidate will be able to quickly assist our remote service team, including engineers, diagnose and remediate issues - while keeping their composure under high pressure business critical emergencies.

In this role, the right candidate will be responsible for maintenance, and administration of computer networks and related computing environments, including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations as part of the team.

This position requires a high level of detail and a strong ability to communicate.

Essential Duties and Functions:

  • Provide remote service support, over the phone, when not;
  • Travelling on-site to company location (various locations).
  • Working with customers on-site, providing solutions in person, as directed by service leadership.
  • Providing on-site technical support and troubleshooting.
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware and software systems.
  • Diagnosing and resolving software, hardware, and network issues.
  • Document all service activities and maintain accurate records.
  • Conduct training sessions for customers on system usage and best practices.
  • Ensuring correct input of time, actions and resolutions into our ticketing system.

Work Location:

  • Multiple customer site locations assigned business locations, and work from residence.

Experience:

A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the Information Technology (IT) field.
No supervisory experience is required.

  • Windows Operating System - 2 to 3 Years (Required)
  • Active Directory - 1 Year (Required)
  • PCI Compliance - 1 Year (Preferred)
  • FTC Compliance - 1 Year (Preferred)
  • A Certified (Preferred)
  • Net Certified (Preferred)
  • Proven experience in software troubleshooting and technical support.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and VPN technologies.
  • Familiarity with ConnectWise or similar ticketing systems.
  • Proficiency in computer hardware installation and maintenance.
  • Solid understanding of computer networking principles.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with non-technical users.
  • Experience with firewall configuration and administration is a plus.

  • Must provide three (3) employment references upon application.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Must pass a background check, alcohol, and drug testing.
  • Must sign an NDA upon acceptance of job offer.
  • Must have location for secure parking of company vehicle at place of residence.
  • Must have designated appropriate and clean workspace at residence for designated remote workdays or after-hours support.
  • Available to work on an on-call basis as scheduled by management.
  • Available for critical response or business-impacting project hours as needed.
  • Ability to travel as required based on business needs.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely lift up to 50lbs unassisted and 100lbs, assisted.
  • Ability to drive up to 2 hours for onsite services.
  • Ability to sit, stand or kneel for extended periods of time (up to 30 minutes each).
