Our large manufacturing client located in Clayton, North Carolina, is looking for a Process Control Engineer, to add to their team.
Position's Contributions to Work Group:
Collaborate with category procurement teams and facilities on Assurance of supply initiatives, capacity planning with key suppliers, supplier NPI readiness, and improving supplier quality performance as required.
Typical Day:
Interactions with various suppliers to coordinate supply, develop understanding of capacity, NPI readiness, etc. Significant time typically spent in MS Teams meetings; also interacting with facility supply chain and procurement teams.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, or similar; minimum of 8 years of working experience
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of production planning, manufacturing engineering, process control, lean manufacturing concepts, capacity planning
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication skills, able to communicate with all levels of an organization; able to promote collaboration with external suppliers; able to work independently with minimal supervision; able to navigate a complex matrix organization
Travel Requirement: 25%-50%
Potential Travel Locations: North American supplier locations (mostly Midwest and Southeast, although some potential to other regions, including Mexico); and also our client's BCP locations in Athens, GA.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
