Essential Functions
Develops and implements strategic marketing plans to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.
Responsible for approving and watching marketing operating costs. Includes negotiating and making purchasing decisions and/or recommendations regarding vendor needs.
Oversees the Bank’s branding objectives. Establishes and maintains consistent corporate image and positioning throughout product lines, collateral materials, communication, advertising, and events. Assists other departments within organization to prepare manuals, brochures, and technical publications in addition to assisting with preparation for trade shows and other events.
Plans and oversees advertising and promotion activities including print, digital media, direct mail, E-mail messaging, merchandising and signage.
Responsible for internal and external communications, charitable contributions, and sponsorships.
Develops and recommends product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share.
Ensures effective control of marketing results and takes corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives falls within designated budget goals.
Oversees and evaluates market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
Monitors competitor products, sales, and marketing activities.
Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners identifying key internal business developments to enhance the Bank’s image and reputation.
Guides preparation of marketing activity and analytical reports and presents to executive management.
Develops and maintains a network of media contacts.
Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control marketing programs.
Represents the Bank at local events.
Responsible for Annual Report Cover Design.
Creates a semi-annual newsletter featuring a commercial customer along with commercial products and services. This newsletter is sent to commercial and small business customers.
Manages all specialty items including vendors, item selection and inventory.
Oversees website development, design, content, and ongoing maintenance to ensure accuracy, compliance, usability, and coordination of Bank’s strategic objectives.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.
Physical Demands

Must be able to lift up to 15-20 pounds at times.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and normal hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Events are held before and after normal work hours on a fairly regular basis.
Travel
Travel is primarily local during the day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, business administration, or related field
8-10 years of marketing experience with progressive management experience in a bank or similar financial institution.
Strong planning ability, attention to details, and the ability to work in a self-directed manner.
Solid analytical, organizational, problem solving and decision-making skills.
Creative writing skills. A portfolio of work may be requested showing creative materials developed, writing and general marketing skills.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and client relationship skills required, including strong verbal, writing, public speaking, and presentation skills. Must be able to communicate with all levels of employees including senior management.
Skilled in customer relations, such as the ability to respond with sensitivity and a sense of urgency to customer needs or requests.
Experience with event planning.
Strong knowledge of social media strategy and digital marketing strategy.
Must possess the ability to deal with and maintain confidentiality of information.
Must have a working knowledge, practical application, and hands-on experience in using various Microsoft office products including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
