What you'll be doing (duties of this position):
- Preparation and research for individual and business tax returns.
- Preparation of financial statements (GAAP experience).
- Analyze financial information and make recommendations for year-end adjustments to business clients.
- Assist with audits as deemed necessary.
- Communicate with clients and other interested parties.
- Stay up to date on current tax laws and relevant changes.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
- 3 or more years of experience in public accounting (required)
- CPA certification or CPA candidate (required)
- Strong attention to detail, goal-oriented, professional, work well under deadlines.
- Work independently and efficiently.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks.
- Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word. (required)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects at the same time
