Job Description:

ITA Kitchen is seeking a friendly and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Hostess. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a positive first impression for guests by greeting them warmly and ensuring their dining experience starts off on the right note. As a Hostess, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the flow of the restaurant and providing excellent customer service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greeting Guests: Warmly welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant, engaging with them in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Seating Arrangements: Manage the seating chart efficiently, ensuring that guests are seated promptly and in accordance with their preferences and the restaurant's seating guidelines.
• Reservation Management: Handle incoming reservation requests, confirm reservations, and manage the reservation book effectively to optimize table turnover.
• Assisting Guests: Provide guests with menus, answer their questions regarding menu items, and make recommendations as needed.
• Coordinating with Servers: Communicate effectively with servers to ensure a smooth transition between seating guests and serving meals.
• Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep the hostess stand and lobby area clean and organized at all times, including clearing tables and maintaining tidiness in the waiting area.
• Handling Guest Inquiries: Address guest concerns and inquiries professionally and escalate any issues to the management team as necessary.
• Assisting with Special Events: Collaborate with the management team to organize and execute special events or promotions held at the restaurant.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills, including reservation management software.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
