JOB SUMMARY:

Acts as a focal point for all daily inter-organizational activities related to service parts inventory control. Maintains optimum inventory levels of service parts and accessories to satisfy all dealer and distributor demands for all franchises, OEM & export customers. Responsible for maintaining a target service level to customers while maintaining optimum inventory levels/months of supply. Conducts regular analysis of specific part groups, and provides any specific change recommendations to forecasting parameters leading to improvement of inventory efficiency and customer fill rate.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Reviews, analyzes, and recommends changes to system parameters to meet inventory efficiency and customer service level objectives utilizing all available tools. i.e., SPM, SAP, SAS, SQL and various system generated warning and maintenance reports. Identifies parts which require special analysis. Performs root cause analysis of stock outs/low stocks and proposes improvement plans to maximize inventory efficiency.
2. Coordinates necessary supplier follow-up for status requests, expedites requests, and any other supply related issues. Provides detailed background and ETA status as requested by AIPDN staff (management or others).
3. Conducts special projects requested by management for groups of parts or specific customers. Provides results with clear and concise language with supporting data, analysis and recommendations.
4. Performs stock adjustments, operational scraps, monthly purchasing forecast or other inventory transactions as requested, within two days of receipt. (lead peer training)
5. Performs miscellaneous job related duties as assigned.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

• Reports to: Parts Supply Planning Supervisor

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:

• Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in business related disciplines or equivalent related work experience
• Proven total competency in the execution of duties and responsibilities as a Parts Supply Planner II and a minimum of one to two years in the position
• Experience involving detailed analysis, parts forecasting and computers, on a continuous basis
• Experience with SAP, SAS, SQL or SPM software (LPA, DRP or Vision) preferred

KNOWLEDGE:

• Knowledge of parts inventory control and distribution principles

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Ability to analyze and interpret statistical demand patterns and supply rules as well as business related processes
• Excellent data analysis skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient PC skills in Microsoft Office applications

PHYSICAL STANDARDS:

The employee must be able to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer. This is primarily a sedentary position in a controlled office environment which requires only occasional reaching, stooping, and lifting of office files, reports or records, typically weighing 5 lbs. or less.

Pay scale for this position is between $68,742 to $85,927. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
