JOB TITLE: Food & Beverage Supervisor 
REPORTS TO: Food & Beverage Manager 
DEPARTMENT: Food & Beverage 
FLSA STATUS: Hourly Non-Exempt 
POSITIONS SUPERVISED: Cashiers, Line Cooks, Servers, Bartenders, Dishwashers
JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for supervising the daily operations of the Food & Beverage department. Duties will include training, scheduling, and supervising team members, as well as overseeing inventory, including food and beverages, supplies and other restaurant equipment. Responsible for resolving guest complaints regarding food quality, steps of service, and making sure the business complies with health and food safety regulations. 
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Assist in the planning, scheduling, assigning and coordination of team members to meet departmental and company goals.
  • Oversee all aspects of daily restaurant operation including FOH and BOH staffs. 
  • Monitor all operational areas and equipment to ensure it is properly cleaned, maintained, and in compliance with company policies and procedures. 
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are met.
  • Complete walkthroughs every shift to ensure all supplies and equipment are adequate in quantity and quality.
  • Facilitate open and honest communication amongst FOH staff, BOH staff, and management.
  • Supervise and evaluate staff during shifts. Assist in completing all required documentation.
  • Assist in maintaining F&B Food Handler Certifications for team members. 
  • Assist in maintaining SERV Safe Responsible Alcohol Service Certifications.
  • Assist in departmental meetings.
  • Ensure team members follow established guidelines for grooming, uniforms, operations policies. 
  • Keep the Manager on Duty informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance coming to his/her/their attention so prompt corrective action can be taken when appropriate.
  • Maintaining an environment where safety is the number one priority for all guests and team members.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules, regulations, standards, guidelines, expectations, and requirements.
  • Ensure completion of work responsibilities and special projects in accordance with the designated time frame, as determined by the F&B Manager.
  • Adhere to company ethical requirements, demonstrating the utmost integrity in all professional and personal matters.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned. 
QUALIFICATIONS: 
Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred 
Experience: 1-2-year related experience, including supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certification/Licensure: ServSafe Certified Preferred. 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age. 
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license. 
  • Must be professional, energetic, self-motivated, and able to motivate others. 
  • Must possess working knowledge of MS Office applications including Word and Excel. 
  • Must possess strong safety sensitivity. 
  • Must be well organized and flexible to meet time, priority and workload demands. 
  • Ability to troubleshoot situations without delay and act accordingly. 
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, evolving environment. 
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including evenings, holidays overnight events and weekends.

  • Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods of time. (In accordance with Operation Hours) 
  • Requires occasional reaching above shoulder, pushing and pulling. 
  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and read, talk, and hear. 
  • The team member is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, push, pull, crouch, or crawl. 
  • The team member is occasionally required to climb and work at heights above 100 feet. 
  • The team member is occasionally required to sit or balance. 
  • The team member must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to twenty-five pounds. 
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Requires manual and bi-manual dexterity, fine and gross motor skills, eye/hand coordination, near vision, hearing, and speech. 
  • The team member will be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. 
  • The noise level is generally moderate to high.
