We are looking for motivated Fiber Technicians in the Houston, TX area to:

- Perform fiber optic splicing and termination in outdoor settings
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain fiber optic cables and equipment
- Conduct testing and documentation of fiber optic networks
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient network operations

We are looking for:

• Fiber Technician

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of fiber optic splicing techniques and equipment
• Proficiency in working with routers and Ethernet protocols
• Familiarity with service technician duties, including cabling and telephone systems
• Experience in field service operations, including network installation and maintenance
• Basic understanding of electrical principles related to fiber optic networks
• Knowledge of computer networking concepts and troubleshooting

Responsibilities:

• Responsibilities: The job requires an individual to bury cable lines using trenching machine and hand tools. Trenching machines, hand tools and training provided by company
• Perform fiber optic splicing and termination in outdoor settings
• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain fiber optic cables and equipment
• Conduct testing and documentation of fiber optic networks
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient network operations

Requirements:

• Able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
• Valid Driver's License with a good driving record, auto registration, proof of auto insurance,
• Possess your own late model (5 years or less) truck, van or large SUV capable of towing a trailer and trenching machine. We will accept older vehicles that are in good shape.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Smart phone with working camera
• Able to upload photos and documents.
• Ability to complete on-the-job-training.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $17 - $26/hr

$700.00 - $1,200.00 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shifts, 40hrs/week up to 70hrs/week
• Day shift

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
