We are actively seeking a diligent Billing and Coding Insurance Specialist to join our dynamic team. This specialist will play an essential role in ensuring accurate medical billing and coding for patient services, facilitating timely reimbursements, and optimizing our revenue cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Medical Coding: Accurately code patient services using ICD-10 and CPT codes.

Claims Submission: Prepare, review, and transmit claims using billing software, ensuring all claims are submitted with a goal of zero errors.

Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage and ensure accurate data entry and processing.

Payment Posting: Accurately apply payments, adjustments, and denials into the billing system.

Denial Management: Address and resolve any claim denials or discrepancies, working closely with insurance companies.

Customer Service: Respond to patient inquiries regarding billing and provide clarification on charges, as necessary.

Compliance: Stay updated with the latest changes in billing regulations, insurance policies, and coding updates.

Reporting: Generate and analyze billing reports to monitor collections and outstanding balances.

Requirements

· Certification from a recognized Billing and Coding program.

· Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10, and CPT codes.

· Proficiency in billing software and electronic health records.

· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

· Excellent communication and customer service skills.

· Knowledge of insurance guidelines, especially Medicaid and Medicare.
