Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our team onsite in East Syracuse, NY. The Financial Controller will play a key role in overseeing our financial operations, ensuring the accurate and timely accounting close and reporting process.

Responsibilities

- Oversee day-to-day operations of the accounting department.

- Manage and mentor a team of accounts payable and accounts receivable specialists.

- Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and collections.

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP financial statements and supplement financial reports.

- Manage short-term cash flows to optimize liquidity and support operational needs.

- Cultivate and manage relationships with banking partners, including maintaining deposit and loan accounts and optimizing banking services to meet business needs.

- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.

- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in accounting.

- 5-8 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles.

- CPA license strongly preferred.

- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Experience in commercial real estate is a bonus.
