Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Desktop Support Technician to join our team. As a Desktop Support Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our employees. Your primary focus will be on troubleshooting hardware and software issues, installing and configuring software applications, and maintaining computer systems. Duties:
- Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in person
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues
- Install, configure, and upgrade computer hardware and software
- Set up new user accounts and profiles
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system updates and backups
- Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex technical problems
- Document all support activities and solutions in the ticketing system
- Maintain inventory of hardware and software
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows, macOS)
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Experience with installing and configuring software applications
- Familiarity with network protocols and basic network troubleshooting
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think analytically
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Quantum engineering
