Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), the Financial Systems Administrator is responsible for the management, support, and seamless integration of IREX's financial applications. Their expertise will be instrumental in ensuring these systems operate efficiently, meet our business needs, and align with IREX's technological strategies.
The Financial Systems Administrator will play a crucial role in enhancing our financial technology infrastructure, improving system integrations, and providing exceptional support to our users. This position requires a blend of technical prowess, financial acumen, and strong leadership skills to drive innovation and operational excellence in our financial systems management.

Your Background & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, computer science, information systems, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in a technical role within financial operations, with a strong emphasis on system implementation, data analysis, and process optimization.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial management and accounting software such as Deltek Costpoint, SAP Concur, and QuickBooks. Experience with database management and reporting tools is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with U.S. Government financial regulations (e.g., USAID, DOS) and their application in software and technical processes within international projects.
  • Possesses strong analytical skills, adept at leveraging financial software and data analysis tools to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance in financial operations.
  • Demonstrates a proven ability to lead and manage technical projects within the financial domain, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
  • Excels in cross-functional teamwork, providing technical solutions to financial challenges, and effectively communicating complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficient in identifying and implementing emerging technologies and digital platforms to optimize financial processes and foster collaboration.
  • Exhibits exceptional interpersonal skills, with a keen sensitivity to cultural differences, fostering effective collaboration in a global setting.
  • Takes a proactive approach, anticipating potential challenges and opportunities, and taking initiative to address them proactively to drive positive change.

  • You must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
Your Daily Tasks
  • Oversee the integration of the financial system with other business applications (such as ERP, HR systems, etc.) to ensure seamless data flow and operational efficiency across platforms.
  • Ensure accurate and timely synchronization of data between the financial system and other business applications. This includes managing data transfers and maintaining data consistency across systems.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data within the systems. This includes data entry, updating records, and performing regular audits to identify and correct discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with IREX IT and third-party vendors to implement system upgrades and enhancements, ensuring the financial system stays up to date with the latest technology and business requirements.
  • Monitor the financial system to ensure it complies with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. Implement and maintain security measures to protect sensitive financial data.
  • Continuously identify and implement improvements in financial processes and system workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Assist in the planning and coordination of financial system projects, working under the guidance of a project manager or senior team member.
  • Work with the vendors and partners on timely invoicing/system updates
  • Assist in the preparation and management of budgets, utilizing the financial system for accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Keep close track of financial systems budget and payment status
  • Closely work with OCFO team on system improvements and enhancements.
  • Support FP&A staff with ad-hoc/specific financial systems' needs/asks.
  • Other support duties as needed.
