Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Superintendent to plan, organize, and manage construction activities on-site, ensuring projects are executed according to plans and specifications.
  • Assist in the coordination of subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to maintain smooth workflow and adherence to project schedules.
  • Monitor and enforce safety regulations, conducting regular safety meetings, and promoting a culture of safety awareness among all team members.
  • Review construction documents and drawings to ensure accuracy and identify potential issues before they impact the project's progress.
  • Maintain daily logs, reports, and documentation related to site activities, work progress, and any incidents.
  • Assist in conducting regular site inspections to ensure quality workmanship, compliance with design standards, and adherence to construction best practices.
  • Communicate effectively with project team members, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to address issues, resolve conflicts, and facilitate efficient collaboration.
  • Help maintain accurate project schedules and timelines, identifying potential delays and implementing corrective actions to keep projects on track.
  • Assist in managing budget-related aspects of the project, including tracking expenses, monitoring costs, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Provide input into performance evaluations for subcontractors and evaluate their adherence to project standards.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • 3 years of experience in multifamily construction, with proven experience in assisting with on-site project management.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, and materials related to multifamily projects.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships among project stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in construction software and tools, including project management and scheduling software.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project demands.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
