We are seeking a Software Airworthiness Engineer to support the Army's Systems Readiness Directorate (SRD) in the assessment of software prior to its Airworthiness Release (AWR). The engineer will work each day in the epicenter of all Army AWR evaluations, working shoulder to shoulder with a larger team of software airworthiness subject matter experts (SMEs). The engineer will assess the development processes of new and updated software for both legacy and cutting-edge aviation platforms and systems, including radars, radios, navigation, survivability, and flight-management. If software flies for the Army, it needs to be safe before it is deployed to our warfighters.
