Intuit is Hiring a Group Manager - Security Development Near San Diego, CA

Our team creates internal security and compliance software for Intuit's cloud hosted products. Our software platform makes it easy for Intuit's development teams to onboard to security controls, become compliant to Intuit’s security policies, screen third-parties for risk, and automatically demonstrate that compliance to auditors. The ideal candidate will join a team of talented software engineers with a passion for solving cloud security and compliance problems through advanced, industry-leading technology.

Responsibilities

The Software Development Manager 3 for the Security Compliance Engineering Team at Intuit will be responsible for leading a team of software development engineers in the development and implementation of security & compliance strategies, software, and programs to protect Intuit's systems and customer data. This role will require an understanding of compliance & security risks and threats, as well as experience in managing a team of software engineering professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of security and compliance strategies, programs, and software to protect Intuit's systems and customer data from risks and threats.
  • Identifies gaps/opportunities and establishes technology vision, direction and strategy direction/strategy within their respective scopes.
  • Leads and makes technology decisions that are steeped in clear principles and have significant long term impact to Intuit.
  • Manage a team of software development engineers, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to ensure the team members’ success and career development.
  • Collaborate with product managers, program managers, and cross-functional teams across Intuit to identify opportunities to enhance our security compliance software platform through new features and data providers.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including vendors and suppliers, to ensure their products and services meet our needs for performance, availability, security and cost effectiveness.
  • Successfully maintain high scale workloads in the public cloud (AWS)
  • Establish and maintain high development and operational standards for the software platform around availability, performance, quality, velocity, security, cost, and monitoring.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology Management, Engineering, or related field or equivalent relevant experience
  • 12 years of experience in Software Development, Information Technology, Information Security, Engineering, or related field
  • 5 years of experience in information security and compliance.
  • 5 years of experience managing a team of security professionals or software engineers.
  • 5 years of experience managing workloads in the public cloud, preferably AWS, with a strong understanding of various AWS technologies and services.
  • Strong understanding of security, risk, compliance, and the software development lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex security, compliance, and software development concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to support risk assessments, audits, security incidents, and production issues.
  • Experience working with external partners, including vendors and suppliers.
  • AWS certifications, CISSP or other relevant security or public cloud certifications are a plus
