Job Title: Maintenance Lead

Job Summary: The Maintenance Lead in the Marine Industry is responsible for overseeing and coordinating maintenance activities for marine equipment, vessels, and related infrastructure. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of marine assets.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervise Maintenance Team: Lead and direct a team of maintenance technicians, assigning tasks, and ensuring they work efficiently to meet maintenance goals.
2. Routine Maintenance: Schedule and perform routine maintenance on marine equipment and vessels, including inspections, cleaning, and minor repairs.
3. Repairs and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and address mechanical, electrical, or structural issues in marine equipment, ensuring swift and effective repairs.
4. Safety Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to safety standards and regulations, promoting a safe working environment.
5. Inventory Management: Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts and equipment necessary for maintenance tasks.
6. Documentation: Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment conditions, and repair history.
7. Budget Management: Assist in budget planning for maintenance activities and monitor expenses to ensure cost-effective operations.
8. Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance and repair services.
9. Training: Provide training and mentorship to maintenance staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
10. Emergency Response: Be on-call for emergency maintenance situations, responding quickly to prevent downtime and safety hazards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; a relevant technical certification or degree is a plus.
• Proven experience in marine maintenance, with a strong understanding of marine equipment and systems.
• Leadership and supervisory skills to manage a maintenance team effectively.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the marine industry.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic marine environment.
