Job Summary & Essential Functions:

Establishes, plans, and administers the overall policies for the company’s business systems. Provide guidance and assistance to the users regarding the company’s business systems. Analyses the needs of different departments and determines ways to meet business objectives by modifying or developing new information processing systems.

• Improve operational processes and support critical business strategies by managing the development, implementation and maintenance of applications 
• Ensure applications are developed accurately and efficiently
• Oversee team of internal and/or external programmers 
• Manage operations related to business systems; including system availability, batch processing, back up and recovery, system interfaces, security, user access, and administration
• Manage the design and development of applications for business and other related systems, reports, and user interfaces. Involvement may expand beyond ERP as needed
• Perform user training for business systems as needed; training will also include any new related business systems
• Work with users to ensure that business system standards and procedures are followed; assist in developing business system standards
• Assist in development of new policies and procedures pertaining to ERP systems
• Manage ERP Customizations and other business improvement initiatives using the Change Advisory Board

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Knowledge of overall business and manufacturing processes
• Demonstrated experience in ERP Upgrades, the SDLC lifecycle, and user access compliance.
• Understand strategies of using appropriate system applications to support business processes
• Advanced level in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook) 
• Understanding and use of modern project management software and methodologies.
• Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail to produce quality results
• Strong planning and organizational skills including the ability to initiate, prioritize, and allocate resources 
• Ability to effectively communicate in all forms with others inside and outside the organization
• Strong decision-making skills; utilizing sound judgement and thorough processes 
• Ability to problem solve issues involving multiple variables and limited standardization
• Ability to be creative and innovative with approaches to solutions and solving complex problems
• Ability to multitask efficiently and adapt within a rapidly changing environment

Required Experience & Education:

• Bachelor's degree in related technical field 
• Minimum 10 years of progressive relevant job experience 
• Project management including planning, budgeting, and allocating of resources
• Previous experience leading business systems implementation and upgrades
• Understanding of the audit and change control / change management processes
• Prior experience in transforming business processes into technical design specifications
• Manufacturing industry and business process experience a plus
