Intertek US is Hiring a Project Specialist Near Dallas, TX

Professional Service Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI) is looking for a Project Specialist to join our Building & Construction team in Dallas.

Intertek-PSI is a leading US based provider of assurance, testing, inspection, and consulting solutions in civil and commercial construction. Our broad service offering includes construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, environmental consulting, industrial hygiene, and specialty testing. Through these risk management and quality assurance services, we ensure the reliability, safety and performance of our client’s new developments, existing assets, and facilities. 

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented RFP/RFQ (Request for Proposal/Request for Quotation) Writer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the development and execution of winning proposals and quotations that showcase our company's capabilities and expertise. As an RFP/RFQ Writer, you will collaborate with various departments including engineering, business development, and project management to create compelling and tailored responses to client inquiries.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze RFP/RFQ requirements thoroughly to understand client needs and objectives.
  • Work with local sales and operational teams to develop submittal objectives and customized language.
  • Coordinate with company subject matter experts to gather necessary information and technical details.
  • Write and edit proposal content, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with client specifications.
  • Develop customized templates and boilerplate language to streamline the proposal process.
  • Conduct research to support proposal development, including competitor analysis and market trends.
  • Manage proposal schedules and deadlines, ensuring timely submission.
  • Participate in proposal review meetings and incorporate feedback to enhance proposal quality.
  • Maintain a repository of proposal content and templates for future reference.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in RFP/RFQ writing within the engineering consulting industry.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, and other proposal management software (i.e. Microsoft Word, PowerPoint & Publisher, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator)
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of engineering consulting terminology and concepts is preferred
