Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA standards
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols
- Provide training to employees on safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Investigate accidents and incidents, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions
- Collaborate with management to develop strategies for improving safety performance
- Monitor workers' compensation claims and work with insurance providers to ensure timely resolution
- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and changes in safety regulations
- Maintain records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions
Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code) and OSHA regulations
- Strong understanding of EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) principles
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with employees at all levels of the organization
- Proficiency in using construction management software for tracking safety data
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills for identifying potential risks
- Proven experience in compliance management and risk assessment
