International SOS Government Medical Services Inc is Hiring a Quality Assurance/Health Compliance Specialist (QA/HCS) Near Greensboro, NC

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance/Health Compliance Specialist (QA/HCS) to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and quality standards within our organization. The QA/HCS will be responsible for conducting audits, assessments, and evaluations to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services and patient safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and interpret federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid, and accreditation standards (e.g., TJC, NCQA). Ensure that policies, procedures, and practices comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Develop, implement, and evaluate quality assurance programs and initiatives to improve the quality and safety of healthcare services. Conduct regular audits, assessments, and performance evaluations to identify areas for improvement and monitor compliance with quality standards.
  • Healthcare Accreditation: Coordinate and facilitate accreditation activities, such as accreditation surveys, readiness assessments, and corrective action plans. Prepare documentation and evidence for accreditation surveys and ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
  • Policy and Procedure Development: Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and protocols related to quality assurance, health compliance, and patient safety. Ensure that policies are up-to-date, comprehensive, and aligned with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess risks to patient safety, data security, and organizational integrity. Develop risk mitigation strategies and corrective action plans to address identified risks and prevent adverse events or compliance violations.
  • Training and Education: Provide training and education to staff on quality assurance principles, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards. Collaborate with departmental leaders to develop and deliver training programs that promote a culture of quality and compliance.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to quality measures, performance indicators, and compliance metrics. Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings and trends to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead or participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance improvement projects. Facilitate multidisciplinary teams to identify opportunities for improvement, implement changes, and monitor the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Investigations and Root Cause Analysis: Investigate incidents, complaints, and adverse events to determine root causes and contributing factors. Implement corrective actions and preventive measures to address identified issues and prevent recurrence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, public health, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Certification in quality management (e.g., Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality - CPHQ) preferred.
  • Experience in quality assurance, health compliance, or healthcare administration, with demonstrated expertise in regulatory compliance, accreditation, and quality improvement.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and quality improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and quality management software.
