Overall Purpose:
The Registered Nurse will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating direct and indirect clinical care to patients. She/ he will competently function as a member of the interdisciplinary team to provide patient and community centered care. She/he serves as an advocate for the patient and their family and intercedes on their behalf by acting as a liaison for patients and their families with respect to their rights and beliefs. The Registered Nurse will utilize their expertise of evidenced based medical practice to manage unexpected and emergent situations, to mitigate and treat a variety of injuries and illnesses in a prompt and professional manner.

$1,000 weekly stipend
Key Responsibilities:
· Conducting physical assessments, including psychiatric or admission
· Assessments.
· Administering medication(s).
· Processing of physician orders.
· Monitoring vital signs.
· Testing blood glucose levels.
· Completing treatments.
· Conducting pain assessments.
· Changing dressings.
· Providing venipuncture services.
· Management of the milieu.
· Utilizing the electronic health record (EHR) of NHH and Glencliff to obtain clinical information and to document patient care. Communicating both verbally and in writing to report related findings In accordance with agency policies, declare a personal safety emergency stemming from any situation where the physical or emotional safety of an individual is at risk and immediate action is necessary to prevent harm or injury (e.g., physical assaults, verbal threats, medical equipment malfunctions, or incidents of patient/resident elopement) as needed.
Required Skills and Knowledge
· Minimum of three (2) years of psychiatric nursing experience is a must.
Education Required:
· Licensed in New Hampshire and have no record of prior or pending disciplinary action against him or her by the licensure body or agency. New Hampshire is a member of the National Council of State Board of Nursing and participates in the multistate Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
You can have a active out of state compact liceance.
· Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
· American Heart Association - Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification is preferred.
Physical Demands:
· Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
· Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
· May require bending, stooping, and lifting up to 15 lbs.
Other Special Qualifications:
· Must be able to read, write, and speak English to effectively communicate.
· A US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required.
