We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Maintenance-Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of our branch operations. This role is critical in ensuring efficient production, a safe work environment, and adherence to customer demands.

The Ideal Candidate

• Possesses a strong background in electrical and/or mechanical engineering.
• Has a minimum of 5 years of experience managing a production plant.
• Holds extensive training in OSHA compliance and safety protocols.
• Demonstrates exceptional leadership and employee management skills, including experience with:
• Conducting interviews and onboarding new hires.
• Processing bi-weekly payroll.
• Managing employee attendance, time-off requests, and performance.
• Report absences to HR and critique employee’s time reporting for potential employee counseling.
• Manage employee scheduling.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols to minimize injuries, while also being prepared to react to incidents and manage all aspects of the workers' compensation claim process.

Key Responsibilities

• Production & Operations Management:
• Oversee all day-to-day operations of the branch.
• Implement and maintain planned maintenance schedules for machinery and equipment, ensuring functionality and OSHA safety standards.
• Work collaboratively with the Inventory/Shipping Manager to optimize production flow and meet established schedules.
• Work with Inventory/Shipping manager to coordinate daily shipping routines and forecast shipping dates.
• Understand the operations of all production floor positions.
• Employee Management & Development:
• Supervise a team of 10-20 production machine operators and trimmers.
• Motivate and empower employees to achieve set productivity targets through effective communication and teamwork.
• Conduct routine performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching.
• Establish and maintain clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all tasks.
• Quality & Safety Assurance:
• Conduct daily safety walkthroughs to ensure a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
• Maintain and procure all necessary safety equipment.
• Enforce adherence to all quality assurance and safety policies and procedures.
• Perform routine machinery adjustments and maintenance, with documented records.
• Conduct compliance testing and maintain a strong understanding of quality control processes.
• Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) program in accordance with OSHA regulations (29 CFR 1910.147)
• Inventory & Reporting:
• Collaborate with the Inventory Manager to determine raw material needs.
• Verify daily inventory counts in collaboration with the Inventory Manager.
• Record daily production output and collect shipping data for comprehensive reporting.
• Monitor and record raw material waste.
• Additional Responsibilities:
• Implement a monthly safety training program for all employees.
• Oversee the production schedule to maximize efficiency and fulfill customer orders on time.
• Adhere to and enforce all company policies, ensuring clear communication to employees.

Pay: $63,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
