The Details:Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round

Pay: $17.35/hr 

Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities

  • Assist with weekly new hire check in process.
  • Create new and replacement name badges & IDs for employees.
  • Assist with new employee paperwork and ensure all I-9's are completed.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation. TIPS, and food handling training classes.
  • Track employee trainning requirements/needs.
  • Primarily responsible for housing assignments, in partnership with the HR manager.
  • Schedules and conducts monthly dorm safety inspections in conjunction with risk or management.
  • Submits Maintenance requests employee housing issues by working closely with dorm proctors/cleaners.
  •  Pick up, logs, and distributes mail and/or packages received by delivery.
  • Processes employee requests using proper forms and procedures.
  • Maintains stock forms and supplies, informing HR manager when low.
  • Responds to e-mails and voice-mails promptly.
  • Creates and distributes employee and anniversary cards monthly.
  • Collects employee recognition cards, selects recipients, and distributes awards promptly.
  • Responsible for Bulletin board and posting staff communication information.
  • Collect bank information and/or make sure Money network cards are set up for direct deposit.
  • Develop, update, & publish the monthly training calendar.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and host employee recreation program events and trips.
  • Publish monthly employee newsletter.
  • Coordinate and facilitate employee transportation.
  • Researches and completes quality of rehire and transfer request forms.
  • Ensure check-out procedures are followed.
  • Maintain uniform and linen rooms by working well with dorm proctors.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment, ensuring all documents are stocked and ready for use.
  • Screening employees wanting to meet with the HR Manager
  • Works as part of the HR team
  • Maintains confidentiality efforts.
  • Updates employee list daily.
  • Ensure security of employee files and HR admin office.
  • Collaborate & work closely with the Human Resources Manager.
  • Maintain excellent attendance & punctuality.
  • Assist in other departments as needed.
  • Works closely in partnership with the Talent Team to meet staffing needs and ensure employee housing is available.
  • Distribute hiring information to local areas for advertising to local residents.
  • Local area involvement for group outings and/or “local discounts” to advertise in -house.
  • Work closely with department managers to know their standards of employees and retention. (understanding PAR)
  • Ability to assist in review of resumes for entry level candidates and selecting candidates alongside recruiting that would better fit positions being hired for. (essentially the 2nd interviewer, when needed for managers)
  • Assisting Employees with benefit questions.
  • Transactional Items such as :GHR – Transfers, Rehires, date changes, and pay changes.
  • KRONOS – Timecard tracking for departments to follow up on if missing punches.
  • Attend meeting for HR department in regard to staffing, new trainings, and various other meetings that may be needed.
  • Willingness to train and grow with the HR department in a lead position, maintain staff culture, and provide feedback when appropriate to departments on staffing needs/concerns.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Administrative/clerical experience required. 
  • Previous HR experience preferred. 
  • Valid Drivers License
